    The University College of Environmental Sciences admits candidates by faculty and by degree. In application the candidate must declare his/her
preferences concerning this matter. All subjects of study are grouped into faculties.
    The following faculties are embedded in the structure of the University College of Environmental Sciences:
- Faculty of Natural Environmet Conservation,
- Faculty of Occupational Safety and Health,
- Faculty of Tourism and Recreation,
- Faculty of European Studies,
    For undergraduate students all faculties offer courses for B.Sc. equivalent degree realized within 3.5 years study (7 semesters).
    For graduate students who have already received B.Sc. degree or equivalent, the Faculty of Natural Environment Conservation offers courses for M.Sc.
degree realized within two years study (4 semesters).
    Main forms of teaching the students will experience in the University College are:
- lectures,
- tutorials,
- seminars,
- laboratories,
- practices,
- excursions to high mountain regions,
- observations of natural ecosystem in national parks,
- visiting of domestic and foreign advanced technology laboratories.
    Observations of natural ecosystems and wildlife are realized mainly in the Tatra Mountains National Park. Groups of students visit the Mountain Research
and Learning Centre which constitutes one of elements of the University College. The Mountain Research and Learning Centre is located in Zakopane, the world
famous tourist and winter sports centre situated at the foothills of the Tatra Mountains. The Tatra Mountains built of granites and partially sedimentary rocks
belong to most attractive mountains in the world owing to contrasts between sharp peaks, great rock walls, clean blue mountain lakes, and extremely diversified
vegetation.
    Undergraduate courses are organized for fully-time and part-time students whereas graduate courses are organized for part-time students.
The courses for part-time students are held in the form of eight two-day sessions (Saturday and Sunday) every semester.
Moreover, extra-sessions are organized for final tests. The University College mediates to organize the accommodation for the session time.
    The academic year begins on October 1st, and it is finished practically in July. Each academic year consists of two semesters.
    The first year (two semesters) is devoted to all general subjects. Courses include subjects common for all students. Starting from the second year students
appoint courses for one or more specialized subjects.
